The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 was much-anticipated last year, and the season did not disappoint. The series had high ratings and included a four-part reunion following RHOBH season 11, which was heavily focused on Erika Jayne’s ongoing divorce and legal battles. There was a lot to look forward to when the housewives appeared on screens again in the spring of 2022.
RHOBH‘s Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, and Crystal Kung Minkoff returned for another season, while Sanela Diana Jenkins was RHOBH‘s newest housewife. RHOBH season 12 even included Sheree Zampino, who was added as a friend. Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton, a RHOBH fan-favorite, was also on board for the new season in a friend role. Having a mix of new and old castmates made for quite an interesting season.
RHOBH Season 12 Had Several Drama-Filled Storylines
There was no shortage of storylines on RHOBH when it made its long-awaited comeback on Bravo last spring. Erika’s court cases against her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, were still taking place, which provided a ton of drama. Erika also had a new hair extension line, so viewers were able to see how she was thriving as a newly-single independent woman. Another event that would play out on RHOBH is Dorit’s home invasion, which occurred in October 2021. The cameras captured a more vulnerable side to her and how Dorit and her husband, Paul “P.K.” Kemsley, dealt with the aftermath. Lisa also launched her new cosmetics brand Rinna Beauty, and a party for her new business was thrown during the season. However, these storylines didn’t compare to the most talked about one toward the end of the season.
Kathy Hilton’s Infamous Aspen Meltdown
For RHOBH season 12, the ladies filmed an explosive cast trip to Aspen, Colorado. Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, hosted the wintry getaway for Kyle’s friends. Garcelle and Sutton revisited a previous argument with Erika on the trip, and the feud even carried over to social media, causing Garcelle and Sutton to unfollow Erika on Instagram. However, Kathy’s meltdown was the craziest storyline to air that season. The mother of Paris Hilton left the rental home Kyle set up for the women and stayed at another hotel until she was able to fly back to Beverly Hills. The season ended with another Kyle and Kathy fallout, Lisa leaving RHOBH, as well as Diana.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 was definitely one of the best seasons in housewives history. It included familiar family drama like Kyle had with her sister and former castmate Kim Richards, and viewers finally got to see someone take down Lisa. Now that filming for RHOBH season 13 is about to start, fans will get to see their favorite west coast ladies again.
